Fidel won

Fidel won. That’s all I could think when I saw the pitiful scene of the hardcore Cuban exiles in Miami celebrating Castro’s death. These exiles had their own personal reasons for hating Fidel Castro. I get that. But the reality is that these exiles held way too much sway in our country’s Cuban policy for far too long. The exiles’ hatred for Castro prevented their fellow Cubans from a better life via a more congenial relationship with America. Castro obviously silenced many of his critics in the harshest of ways. But, in perspective, he seemed almost docile compared to other regimes the United States has not only tolerated but backed.

This is yet another point of idiocy with the bankruptcy expert, who seemed to be ever so happy about Fidel finally succumbing to old age. How in the world can Trump rejoice in Castro’s death when he’s in bed with the violent dictator Vlad Putin? Well, it’s obvious. The reality tv personality has no moral compass. None. Literally, anything’s ok if it serves his ends. Anything. In this case, it’s his sucking up to a very rich group of individuals who can benefit Trump’s business interests.

Meanwhile, most world leaders had good things to say about Fidel Castro. Of course, this is because they didn’t live in Cuba and have to endure one of his speeches that usually took a day or two for him to complete. Castro was likely the greatest blowhard in the history of the world. That is, until Donald Trump came along. He’s exactly like Castro, incredibly impressed with his own voice and willing to silence any critics in whatever way he can. So it is not surprising that some of those world leaders praising Castro also have kind words for the bankruptcy expert. It seems Fidel won in life and now has won in death as well.
